Crisis Response Team (Psychological)

  • If you need a Crisis Response Team Callout Please call 317-745-9833. A CRT Coordinator will speak with you to determine the response.

The Hendricks County Crisis Response Team (HCCRT) provides trauma mitigation, critical incident debriefing, education, and support in the aftermath of critical incidents, either small-scale or mass casualty.

Crisis intervention support sessions minimize further crisis reactions.

As part of the HCCRT, you will also be part of the Hendricks County Medical Reserve Corps and will be given the option to join the Indiana-Crisis Assistance Response Team. No prior experience is necessary.

The HCCRT team follows the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) crisis response model and protocol. NOVA is the recognized leader in victim advocacy, education, and credentialing. Click here to learn more about NOVA.

    Hendricks County Response Team process:

COAD Hendricks County

  • A COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster) will create an organizational structure so that, should a disaster hit Hendricks County, the framework will already be in place for recovery efforts. This includes having designated committees that will handle various aspects of disaster recovery.

We also invite organizations to consider how they might be able to assist the community during a disaster. Those that are willing to help will sign an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) stating that they agree to provide assistance in the event of a disaster. This makes recovery efforts go smoothly since the signatory organizations will know in advance what role they play in the recovery effort.

If your organization is interested in joining the Hendricks County COAD, please contact us at preparedness@co.hendricks.in.us
